Troop 75 is a boy led unit, focused on advancement, service, and outdoor skills. The troop has about 40 youth members with half of them in middle school and the other half in high school. We are a very active troop; our youth leadership plans and carries out monthly big events (usually campouts), weekly meetings, and service projects in the community.
Most of our boys live in Chelmsford, but we also have members from Lowell and Westford. Our boys attend 5 middle schools and 3 high schools in the area. In the 53 years of Troop 75's existence, Troop 75 has recognized 92 Eagle Scouts from its ranks.
Troop 75 meets every Monday night throughout the school year from 7:00-8:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran church in Chelmsford, our charter organization. The troop does not meet when school is closed for vacation or snow days. During the summer the troop continues to meet less frequently for fun activities such as a bike ride or swimming.
Troop 75's regularly attends summer camp. Camp is typically scheduled for the first full week of July. It is the highlight of our year.
Our major fundraiser is selling popcorn.
